With its relatively small Operation Metro map and lack of vehicles, the ongoing
Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta doesn't quite
feel like Battlefield. That all changes this afternoon. DICE has announced the massive 64-player, jet-filled Caspian Border map is now open to all PC beta testers.
Posting the news via an update on
Battlelog, DICE said that the final weekend of the Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta will go out with a bang thanks to Caspian Border.
DICE noted that the beta is being used to stress test Battlefield 3's new back end servers, and as such, players may experience crashes, network instability, and outages.
"Understand that such potential issues and the testing environment are not reflective or indicative of the final product and that, through your participation, you will be helping to ensure future stability and functionality," DICE writes.
Battlefield 3 is in development for Windows PCs, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game is set for launch on October 25.
