Corsair today announced the availability of 480GB model of Force Series GT solid state drive and 180GB and 480GB models of Force Series 3 SSD. Specification of the Force Series GT remain same: SandForce SF-2280 SSD processor, SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3) interface, ONFI synchronous flash memory, up to 85K Random Write IOPS, read speeds of up to 555 MB/s, and write speeds of up to 525 MB/s.

The Force Series 3 SSD has same specification except for 520MB/s write speed.

All Force Series 3 and Force Series GT models come with an easy-to-use 3.5" adapter for use in both laptop and desktop PCs.

The Force Series 3 180GB is priced at $249, and 480GB is priced at $799. On the other hand the 480GB Force Series GT cost $999.

Yesterday, Corsair launched two new 8GB DDR3 memory modules under Corsair Vengeance and Value Select families. Both of them are designed for enthusiasts and offer 8GB capacity. The 8GB Vengeance DDR3 memory operates at 1.5V with 1600MHz speed and 10-10-10-27 latencies.

On the other hand the Value Select 8GB module operates at 1.5V with 1333MHz speed and 9-9-9-24 latencies.
